Arsenal approach Inter Milan about signing Croatian winger on loan – report

Arsenal have submitted an enquiry about the possibility of signing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic on loan, according to a report in England.

BBC Sport is reporting that the Gunners are interested in a potential swoop to sign the Croatia international in the January transfer window.

The same article states that Arsenal would be willing to include a clause that would mean the Premier League side could purchase Perisic in a fixed deal at the end of the season.

According to the same story, the World Cup finalist would be open to a move away from Inter Milan following three and a half seasons at the San Siro.

Perisic’s current deal with the Serie A club doesn’t expire until 2022, so Arsenal would have to produce a substantial fee to sign the Croatian on a permanent deal.

The BBC Sport report goes on to add that Arsenal would like to sign Perisic on loan in January but include an option to buy Perisic in the summer for £35m.

Manchester United have been regularly linked with a move to sign Perisic over the past two seasons or so during Jose Mourinho’s spell in charge.

Perisic has scored 34 goals in 140 games during his spell at Inter Milan.

Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Tuesday night when they host Cardiff City at The Emirates.
