Gonzalo Higuain is flying to London to complete his loan move to Chelsea FC until the end of the season, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Juventus forward is set to join the Blues after they agreed a deal to land him on loan until the end of the current campaign.
The same story says that Chelsea FC are hoping to tie up the deal before next Thursday’s League Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
The article even claims that Higuain could be set to feature against Spurs, especially given his fine record against the north London club.
Higuain has won twice and drawn once against Tottenham, netting three goals and making an assist when facing the north London side.
Chelsea FC have long been linked with a move to bring Higuain to Stamford Bridge but it would now seem that a deal is close to being finalised.
Blues boss Maurizio Sarri knows Higuain well after having managed him during the pair’s time together at Napoli.
Higuain has scored six goals and made one assist in 15 Serie A games for AC Milan this season after having joined the club on loan from Juventus.
