Alisson Becker has warned Liverpool FC that they face a crucial game in the early stages of the title race when they take on Tottenham Hotspur later this month.
The Reds have made a flying start to the new campaign under Jurgen Klopp, with the Merseyside outfit having won three of their opening three Premier League games.
Liverpool FC will look to make it four wins on the spin in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium before the first international break of the season.
The Merseyside outfit will then take on Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on 15 September as they look to try and claim the three points against one of their potential title rivals.
And Alisson believes that the game in north London could already prove to be a crucial test of their title credentials this season.
Speaking in an interview with ESPN, Alisson said: “The Premier League is a very closely contested league.
“The first three games were difficult against less-known teams.
“Now we are going to start facing more well-known rivals like Leicester and, after the national-team break, we will play against Tottenham. It will also be a decisive match.”
Liverpool FC are aiming to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season after having finished in fourth place last term and without a trophy.
