Gerard Pique has admitted that he would love to see Paul Pogba move to FC Barcelona from Manchester United in the future.
Pogba’s situation at Old Trafford has been a constant source of speculation in recent months after his failure to produce consistent form for the Red Devils recently.
The French midfielder was regularly criticised for his failure to produce consistent form for the Red Devils last season but he was widely praised for his solid displays for France at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
Pogba was unable to prevent Manchester United from slipping to their second straight Premier League defeat of the season on Monday night when they were beaten 3-0 by Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
Although Pogba looks set to stay at Manchester United, there is still a slim chance that he could leave for a foreign club before the European transfer window closes this week.
And former Manchester United man Pique has admitted that he would love to see him move to Camp Nou at some point in the future.
Speaking in an interview with Spanish newspaper AS, Pique said: “I’m not too aware of what’s going on with them, Pogba is a great player and he’s there.
“We’ll see if he changes clubs in the future, it would be nice if he came and would make us happy in the future, but we have to respect a player who is at Manchester United. ”
Manchester United will aim to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they travel to Burnley on Sunday afternoon.
