Jamie Carragher predicts where Chelsea FC win finish this season

Jamie Carragher admits Chelsea FC are unlikely to finish in the Premier League’s top four.

The Blues finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a Champions League spot.

Chelsea FC changed manager in the summer after Maurizio Sarri replaced Italian compatriot Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.

The west London side were 3-0 winners against Huddersfield Town at John Smith’s Stadium to make a promising start.

Chelsea FC laid down a marker in the top-four race after a narrow 3-2 victory over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

Pedro Rodriguez, Alvaro Morata and Marcos Alonso secured three points for the west London side.

The Blues have failed to finish in the top four in two of the last three Premier League campaigns under Guus Hiddink and Antonio Conte.

Former Liverpool FC defender Carragher has ruled out Chelsea FC in the top-four race.

“It’s hard to leave Chelsea out, but you think of them playing Thursday-Sunday and the goalkeeper is still young He may go on to be one of the world’s best, but it’s not Courtois,” Carragher told Sky Sports.

“They have lost one of the world’s best. I think the other sides have just got the edge on them but we are talking fine margins.”

The Blues were 1-0 winners against Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley after Eden Hazard’s winner from the spot.

Sarri has signed Napoli star Jorginho, Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa, Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovavic and Rob Green.
