Alisson Becker would be the perfect fit for the Liverpool FC side, according to ESPN FC pundit Paul Mariner.
The Reds have been linked with a swoop to sign the Brazil international in the 2018 summer transfer window but a deal has failed to materialise ahead of the World Cup.
Liverpool FC are thought to be in the market to sign a new goalkeeper after the Reds lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final last month.
Klopp’s number one goalkeeper Loris Karius made two big mistakes to help 13-time champions Real Madrid ease to a comfortable victory over the Merseyside outfit in Kiev.
Alisson has established himself as one of Europe’s top goalkeepers during his stint at AS Roma over the past two seasons to attract interest from La Liga and the Premier League.
Former Arsenal star Mariner believes Liverpool FC need to sign Alisson to finally solve their long-running issues between the sticks.
“I would have him tomorrow at Anfield,” Mariner told ESPN FC.
“He is a fantastic goalkeeper. He has everything Klopp wants. He is commanding in his box. He is good in the air.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to finish in the Champions League qualification spots for the second successive campaign.
The Reds will start the 2018-19 Premier League campaign with a home clash against West Ham at Anfield.
