Antonio Rudiger has claimed that Chelsea FC are “very happy” about taking on Manchester United in the FA Cup final next month.
The Blues secured their place in the final at Wembley thanks to a 2-0 win over Southampton at Wembley in the semi-finals on Sunday afternoon.
Second half goals from Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata secured the victory for Antonio Conte’s men as they reached the final for the second season running.
Chelsea FC will take on Manchester United for the trophy next month after the Red Devils came from behind to beat Tottenham in the other semi-final on Saturday.
And Blues defender Rudiger, who signed from AS Roma last summer, says he and his team-mates are relishing the prospect of coming up against Jose Mourinho’s men in the final next month.
Speaking to Chelsea FC’s website, Rudiger said: “I think I can speak for everyone when I say we are all very happy and to play a final against Manchester United is very good.”
Chelsea FC will now switch their attentions back to Premier League affairs and their bid to try and break back into the top four before the season is out.
The Blues are poised to take on Swansea City in the top flight at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday evening.
The west London side are currently fifth and five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham.
