Jose Mourinho fires warning at Arsenal ahead of Man United trip

Jose Mourinho has insisted that he is out to guide Manchester United to victory over Arsenal as the Red Devils look to cement their place in the top four this season.

Manchester United have been relatively consistent in the Premier League this season but have failed to keep pace with Manchester City, who were crowned as champions earlier this month.

Still, their form in the top flight has been a marked improvement from last season, when they ended up in sixth place in the Premier League table.

Manchester United are currently in second spot as they bid to try and finish as runners-up to Manchester City in the English top flight.

Arsenal are preparing to head to Old Trafford for their Premier League clash against Mourinho’s men in what will be Arsene Wenger’s final visit to the ground as Gunners boss.

And Mourinho has insisted that he is only focused on claiming the three points agains the Gunners as they look to try and cement second spot in the table.

Mourinho told his post-match news conference after Manchester United’s win over Tottenham in the FA Cup semi-finals: “In this moment, I don’t even think about next season or the [FA Cup] final.

“I think about Arsenal because we need one point to finish top four but we need seven points to finish second and we deserve to finish second and we have to finish second.”

Arsenal, meanwhile, are currently preparing for their crunch Europa League clash against Atletico Madrid at The Emirates on Thursday night.
