Liverpool FC and Manchester United are both considering offers to sign Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Asensio could leave Real Madrid at the end of the season following a lack of playing time under Zinedine Zidane.
The same article states that the 22-year-old playmaker is being linked with a potential move to the Premier League.
Indeed, Liverpool FC and Manchester United are thought to be interested in a swoop to sign Asensio in the 2018 summer transfer window.
According to the same story, Asensio is watching with a keen interest to see if Real Madrid act upon their reported interest in Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard and Liverpool FC’s prolific forward Mohamed Salah.
The former Mallorca midfielder has scored 20 goals in 79 games in all competitions for the La Liga giants since his move from Espanyol in a £3m fee.
Asensio has won the La Liga title and the Champions League in his first season at Real Madrid.
Manchester United are looking to add more attacking talent to their team following the January signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.
