Jurgen Klopp has told the Liverpool FC board to make a move to sign Julian Draxler from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Italian website Transfermarketweb, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Klopp has been working on “persuading” the Liverpool FC board to consider a move to sign the Germany international.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC are determined to further bolster their attacking options this summer despite their fine form in the final third.
And Draxler is reportedly an option for the Merseyside outfit, because the 24-year-old could be on his way out of Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Draxler has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot at Parc des Princes this season following the arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe last summer.
Indeed, the German has only started 16 Ligue 1 games for PSG so far this season.
And according to the same report, Klopp has been doing “his utmost” to try and convince the Liverpool FC board to make a big-money swoop to sign Draxler this summer.
Liverpool FC battered Watford 5-0 at Anfield on Saturday night as they returned to winning ways in the Premier League in style.
