Liverpool FC have made an approach to sign Karim Benzema from Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol, as quoted by the Daily Express, is claiming that the Reds are keen on a move to try and bring the France international to Anfield this summer.
The 30-year-old striker has only managed to score four goals in the Spanish league this season but has also notched up seven assists for his team-mates.
The story says that Real Madrid are planning a big shake-up of their squad this summer and Benzema could be one of the players they choose to offload.
And the same report claims that Liverpool FC are currently at the front of the queue for the France striker’s signature ahead of the summer months.
The same article also claims that Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp is also interested in signing central midfielder Dani Ceballos from the Spanish side.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action after the international break with a trip to Crystal Palace on 31 March.
