Tim Sherwood admits he wouldn’t be surprised if Liverpool FC sign AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson in the summer.
The Brazilian shot stopper has emerged as a potential signing for the Anfield outfit in the 2018 summer transfer window.
Alisson has featured 26 times for the Italian side this season but AS Roma are facing a battle to finish in the Champions League places.
Liverpool FC are reportedly in the market to sign a new shot stopper to strengthen Jurgen Klopp’s options in goal.
Neither Loris Karius nor Simon Mignolet have convinced in the Liverpool FC goal to prompt speculation over a big-name signing at the end of the season.
Liverpool FC have scored 65 times in the Premier League this season, but the Reds have the worst defensive record of their top-five rivals.
Former Spurs boss Sherwood hinted that Liverpool FC could complete a deal for the 25-year-old Roma goalkeeper in the summer.
“The boy from Roma, Alisson Becker, looks a real prospect,” Sherwood told Sky Sports.
“There are a lot of noises come out of Liverpool. He must have a buyout clause.”
Liverpool FC signed Mohamed Salah in a £39m deal from AS Roma last summer.
The Egypt international has proven to be the signing of the season after a return of 23 goals in 28 games.
