Liverpool FC are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports in France.
French outlet Le10Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Reds are close to reaching an agreement in principle to bring the talented winger to Anfield at the end of the season.
The same report says that the Reds have “made some good moves” in their bid to try and land Lemar in recent weeks as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his squad with attacking reinforcements this Summer.
The 22-year-old has long been linked with a possible move to the Premier League and he was touted as a target for both Arsenal and Liverpool FC in the summer transfer window last year.
However, it would seem that Liverpool FC are now leading the race to land the France international, if the latest reports are to be believed.
The attacker has scored two goals and made seven assists in 20 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco so far this season.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are currently preparing for their crunch Premier League showdown with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon as they look to boost their top-four hopes with three points.
