Mark Lawrenson is tipping Chelsea FC to end a two-game losing run with a 2-0 victory over West Brom at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
The defending Premier League champions suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat at London rivals Watford at Vicarage Road last week.
Indeed, the Blues have lost their last two Premier League outings after Bournemouth were shock 3-0 winners against the title holders at Stamford Bridge at the end of January.
Chelsea FC have been relegated to fourth place in the Premier League table and a mere point ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the race to secure the final Champions League qualifying spot.
The west London side will take on a Baggies side that are rooted to the bottom of the table and four points adrift of 17th-placed Swansea City.
Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson is backing Chelsea FC to beat West Brom at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
“The Blues had a bad defeat at Watford on Monday, which means people are talking about them being in crisis but I think that is a bit of an exaggeration, and I would certainly back them to win this game,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.
“I wouldn’t panic over West Brom at the moment either, even though they are four points from safety and could be further adrift by the time this game is played.
“The big thing about the Baggies is that they look more likely to score a goal than many of the other sides down at the bottom of the table.
“When push comes to shove, I do think Alan Pardew’s side will start to pick up points – especially when they play against some of the lower teams, who will give them more chances.”
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title with two games to spare last season after the Blues finished seven points clear of their closest challengers Tottenham.
The west London side signed Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, AS Roma defender Emerson Palmieri and Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window.
