Robbie Fowler has lavished praise on Mohamed Salah after his incredible start to life at Liverpool FC.
The Reds signed the Egypt international in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma back in the summer transfer window.
Salah’s move was initially met with some scepticism given his disappointing eight-month stint at Chelsea FC in 2014.
Salah scored his 21st and 22nd league goals of the 2017-18 season last weekend after the Reds played out a 2-2 draw with top-six rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Liverpool FC summer signing scored an incredible solo goal in the first minute of added time before Harry Kane equalised from the penalty spot deep into stoppage time.
Former Reds striker Fowler admits he is thrilled with Salah’s electric start to his Anfield career.
“He is scoring all kinds of goals and we like that, but I don’t care what they’re like – as long as he keeps scoring, I’m happy with that,” Fowler told Liverpool FC’s website.
“We go the game and want to be excited by players – and he is one of those players that will get you on the edge of your seat.
“More often than not, he will score a goal because of the way he plays; he plays on the shoulder, is not afraid to get the ball and is not afraid to take people on. He is exciting to watch.
“It is a great start and we want him to keep doing it for a lot longer.”
Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table and two points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the top-four race.
The Reds will take on Portuguese giants FC Porto in the Champions League round of 16 next week.
The Merseyside outfit haven’t won the Premier League title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
