Liverpool FC have completed the signing of 18-year-old Colombian wonderkid Anderson Arroyo, according to reports.
The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Reds have confirmed the deal to sign the teenage defender from his native Colombian team Fortaleza CEI.
The same story goes on to reveal that Liverpool FC were unable to acquire the necessary paperwork for Arroyo to play in England.
However, the Merseyside outfit have reached an agreement with Spanish side Real Mallorca to loan out the promising defender for 18 months.
According to the report, Arroyo won’t return to Liverpool FC until the summer of 2019.
Arroyo has represented the Colombia Under-20 team following his impressive performance for Fortaleza CEI.
The new Liverpool FC signing has made 22 appearances for the Colombian side over the past three seasons to attract interest from Europe.
The Reds were persuaded to sign Arroyo following his hat-trick during a trial at Liverpool FC’s Melwood training ground.
Jurgen Klopp spent a club record fee on Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk in the January transfer window.
Indeed, Van Dijk became the most expensive defender in the world following his £75m move to the Merseyside outfit last month.
Liverpool FC have conceded 34 times in 26 games in the Premier League this term.
