Arsenal are expected to pay a transfer fee of around £40m to secure the signing of Malcom from Bordeaux this month, according to reports in the British media.
The Guardian is reporting that the Gunners are in talks to land the 20-year-old Brazilian attacker as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his attacking options at The Emirates.
The same report says that Arsenal held talks with the Brazilian’s representatives in France on Sunday to discuss personal terms with the player.
Malcom has been in good form for the French side so far this season, scoring seven goals and making five assists in Ligue 1.
Arsenal are thought to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this month as Wenger looks to bolster his squad following a miserable start to 2018 for the north London side.
The Gunners are currently in sixth place in the table and fell further behind the top four on Sunday following their 2-1 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Wenger must now rally his troops as they bid to get their top-four push back on track on Saturday with a home clash against Crystal Palace at The Emirates in the Premier League.
The north Londoners finished fifth in the top flight last term as they had to settle for Europa League football this season.
