Robbie Savage tips summer Liverpool FC signing for PFA award

Robbie Savage believes that Mohamed Salah will be among the contenders for the PFA player of the year award this season following his sparkling form for Liverpool FC.

The Egypt international has been one of the Premier League’s top performing players this season since his transfer to the Anfield club from Roma back in July.

Salah has scored 18 goals and made six assists in 22 Premier League games for the Reds so far this season and netted Liverpool FC’s fourth goal in their thrilling 4-3 victory over Manchester City at the weekend.

The 25-year-old has also netted five goals and made one assist in six Champions League appearances for the Merseyside outfit this season.

And former midfielder Savage has been hugely impressed by what he has seen from the Egypt international in a Liverpool FC shirt so far this season.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, Savage said: {What a great signing Mo Salah has been for Liverpool.

“He’ll be right up there in the PFA Player of the Year awards, as will so many of the players on the park at Anfield today.”

Liverpool FC are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they chase a top-four finish for the second season running under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

The Reds, who finished in fourth place in the top flight last term, return to Premier League action with a trip to Swansea City next Monday night.
