Gary Neville raves about Eden Hazard after Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at Arsenal

Gary Neville lavished praise on Eden Hazard after the Belgian playmaker produced a fine display in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

The Belgian playmaker was in fine form for the west London side at The Emirates as he played 82 minutes against the Gunners.

Hazard produced a brilliant attacking display for the Blues and won the penalty which brought Chelsea their equaliser in the 67th minute at The Emirates.

Jack Wilshere had earlier given the home side the lead in the 63rd minute with a brilliant finish past Thibaut Courtois.

However, Hazard levelled from the spot before Marcos Alonso netted from close range as he turned home Davide Zappacosta’s low cross in the 84th minute.

But Hector Bellerin fired home a brilliant equaliser for Arsenal in the 92nd minute to earn a point for Arsene Wenger’s side.

Former Manchester United defender Neville was hugely impressed with what he saw from Hazard in north London on Wednesday night as he lavished praise on the 26-year-old Belgian.

Speaking during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game, Neville said: “He’s brilliant, Hazard, he really is.

“When you watch him live like this, it’s wonderful to see.

“The quality, the imagination… just the freedom and risk he plays with is wonderful.”

The result left Arsenal in sixth place in the Premier League table, with Chelsea currently third behind the two Manchester clubs.

The Blues return to FA Cup action on Saturday night with a clash against Norwich City in the third round.
