Jurgen Klopp has revealed that both Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah are injury doubts for Liverpool FC’s FA Cup showdown with Everton on Friday night.
Both players sat out Liverpool FC’s 2-1 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor on Monday afternoon as the Reds kicked off 2018 with three points.
Coutinho has been struggling with a thigh injury, while Salah has been nursing a groin problem in recent days.
It remains to be seen whether the pair will be deemed fit enough to feature for the Reds when they host their bitter local rivals at Anfield on Friday night.
And Klopp has said that they will both undergo late fitness tests ahead of their cup showdown against Sam Allardyce’s men this week.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Monday, Klopp said: “Phil are Mo are injured, not massively but enough for today [to be] no chance.
“And [they are] a doubt, at least a doubt, for Everton.”

Liverpool FC have already completed their first signing of the January transfer window after they tied up a deal to land defender Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.
The Reds are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks as the mid-season window gets into full swing.
It remains to be seen whether Klopp will look to further bolster his squad, with a Champions League clash against FC Porto looming on the horizon.
