Gary Lineker lavished praise on Jesse Lingard following his fine display for Manchester United in the Red Devils’ 2-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Monday night.
The England international has been in fine form for the Red Devils in recent weeks and has been earning plenty of recognition for his performances for Jose Mourinho’s men.
Lingard seemed to initially struggle to win over Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho but it seems like he has now earned his place in the first team at Old Trafford purely on merit.
The 25-year-old has scored seven goals and made four assists in 18 Premier League games for Manchester United so far this season.
And England legend Lineker has been hugely impressed by Lingard’s recent improved performances for the Red Devils.
Lineker wrote on Twitter during Monday night’s 2-0 win at Goodison Park: “Brilliant goal from the ever improving Jesse Lingard. He’s turning into a really good footballer.”
Monday’s win left Manchester United in second place in the Premier League Table as they try to catch Manchester City in the race for the title.
The Red Devils, who finished sixth in the Premier League table last season, are now preparing for their FA Cup third-round clash against Derby County at Old Trafford on Friday night.
