Jamie Redknapp has hailed Liverpool FC midfielder Philippe Coutinho as a “special talent”.
The Reds star broke the deadlock on Boxing Day before he teed up Roberto Firmino in Liverpool FC’s resounding 5-0 win over the Premier League’s basement club Swansea City.
Coutinho was linked with a move to La Liga giants Barcelona in the summer but a deal failed to materialise despite the Liverpool FC number 10 handing in a transfer request.
The 25-year-old was omitted from Klopp’s squad for Liverpool FC’s opening Premier League games before he was restored to the starting XI in September.
Coutinho has scored 12 times and has eight assists in 15 starts in all competitions this season to add some more millions to his price tag.
Former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp singled out Coutinho’s ability to manipulate the ball as the Brazilian’s best trait.
“There are so many attributes I love about this guy. But especially when he touches a ball, it is under his spell,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
“He has a beautiful touch. He is a special talent.”

Coutinho scored 13 goals and made seven assists in 31 games in the 2016-17 season to help the Reds finish in the Premier League’s top four.
The Liverpool FC star moved to Anfield in an £8.5m deal from Serie A giants Inter Milan in the 2013 January transfer window.
