Jamie Redknapp believes Philippe Coutinho’s value will have skyrocketed given his brilliant Liverpool performances this term.
The Brazil international was linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer transfer following an impressive 2016-17 season.
Liverpool reportedly turned down a number of offers from Barcelona for the prized midfielder despite talk of a bid in excess of £100m.
Jurgen Klopp took his time before the German coach restored the South American to his Liverpool team in September.
Coutinho has scored 12 goals and has made eight assists in 17 starts in the Champions League and the Premier League this term.
Former Liverpool captain Redknapp believes Coutinho’s value will have increased thanks to his dominant performances in the Reds team.
“He is in the form of his life right. If he was worth however much in the summer, his price is going up if you ask me!” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
Coutinho score 13 goals and made seven assists in 31 appearances in the Premier League last season to help Liverpool secure a return to the Champions League after a two-season absence.
Liverpool eased to a 2-1 win against Leicester City at Anfield in their final Premier League game of 2017.
The Reds haven’t won the Premier League title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
