Thomas Lemar would prefer to move to Liverpool FC rather than Arsenal in the January transfer window, Kaveh Solhekol says.
The Gunners were reported to have made Lemar their number one candidate to replace Manchester City target Alexis Sanchez.
However, Lemar turned down the chance to move to Arsenal in a £91m deal, leaving Sanchez stuck at The Emirates until January at the earliest.
The 22-year-old has scored two goals and has made four assists in 13 appearances in Ligue 1 this term.
The French forward is being linked with a potential switch to the Premier League ahead of the January Transfer window.
Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has suggested that Lemar would be more interested in a move to Liverpool FC rather than Arsenal.
“If it was left to Lemar, he’d probably prefer to go to Liverpool if he had a choice between Arsenal or Liverpool,” Solhekol told the Transfer Talk podcast on Sky Sports.
Liverpool FC completed a £75m club-record deal to sign Virgil van Dijk ahead of the January transfer window.
The Reds are in fourth place in the Premier League table but four points adrift of Chelsea in third spot.
