Martin Keown has admitted that he is losing patience with the Arsenal team under Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners failed to trouble Premier League strugglers West Ham United in their derby clash at the London Stadium on Wednesday night.
Arsenal have failed to win their last three top-flight games following a 3-1 loss to title rivals Manchester United before stalemates with Southampton and West Ham.
The north London side are in seventh place in the Premier League table and trail Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool FC and Burnley in the top-four race.
The FA Cup holders are a staggering 19 points adrift of runaway leaders Manchester City after 17 games to highlight Arsenal’s regression under Wenger.
The French head coach was apathetic in his post-match interview following Arsenal’s disappointing performance in a goalless draw with West Ham.
Former Arsenal defender Keown admits he is running out of patience with the Gunners following their uninspiring performances over the past few months.
“It is looking like the beginning of the end for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal,” Keown told the Daily Mail.
“Since signing his new contract, there has been no re-emergence that has allowed Arsenal to compete with the best.
“I was astonished by Wenger’s interview after the 0-0 draw with West Ham. I felt he was accepting the performance.
“We knew that West Ham sitting deep would be an issue but Arsenal did not have a cutting edge.
“Arsenal are now in seventh place, behind Burnley, and I am losing patience watching them.”
Arsenal have only managed to win two of their last nine Premier League games on the road.
The Gunners signed Alexandre Lacazette in a club-record deal from Ligue 1 side Lyon in the summer transfer window.
Sead Kolasinac swapped Schalke 04 for Arsenal on a free transfer back in the summer.
