Steven Gerrard has lavished praise on Eden Hazard following another sparkling display from the Belgian in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old playmaker has been in good form for the west London side so far this season and seems to be getting back to the top of his game.
Hazard missed the opening few games of the season with a serious ankle injury but now seems to be fully fit and hitting top gear for Antonio Conte’s men.
The Belgium international has scored eight goals and made four assists in all competitions for Chelsea so far this season as they look to challenge for major trophies.
Hazard was once again impressive as Chelsea secured a victory at Huddersfield Town on Tuesday to keep themselves in third place in the table.
And Liverpool FC legend Gerrard is clearly a huge admirer of the Belgium international following his strong form in recent weeks.
Speaking to BT Sport after Tuesday’s game, Gerrard said: “It’s like he has wing mirrors on. He has great strength.
“I think seven or right players bounced off him. He is 5ft 4ins. His game intelligence, his awareness and his ability…”
Hazard will be expecting to feature for Chelsea when the Blues return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon with a home clash against Southampton.
The west London side will take on Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League after the draw was made on Monday.
