Liverpool FC and Tottenham are ready to go head-to-head over Sheffield United midfielder David Brooks, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Brook’s recent performances have caught the attention of the Premier League duo.
The same article states that Brooks’ international debut in Wales’ 1-1 draw with Panama has prompted Liverpool FC and Tottenham to consider a bid for the 20-year-old.
According to the same report, the Sheffield United midfielder could command a price tag of £20m which seems a lot of money for a Championship player.
The newly-capped Wales international has scored one goal and has made three assists in 17 appearances in all competitions this season.
Brooks came through Manchester City’s academy before the midfielder moved Sheffield United in 2014.
He spent a season on loan at Halifax Town before returning to the Blades to earn a regular first-team spot.
Brooks has scored three goals in 22 appearances in all competitions during his Sheffield United career so far.
The Blades starlet made the controversial decision to swap allegiances and represent England Under-20 at the Toulon tournament despite Wales initially including him in their squad.
However, Brooks’ seemingly had a change of heart and represented Wales at the European Under-21 championship.
