Thierry Henry has praised Alexandre Lacazette for his “unselfish” performance in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The French striker featured from the start alongside Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez up front for the Gunners as Arsene Wenger’s men produced a sparkling display against their bitter local rivals.
Lacazette set up Alexis Sanchez for Arsenal’s second goal at The Emirates after Shkodran Mustafi had given Wenger’s men the lead.
The 26-year-old, who signed for the Gunners from Lyon in the summer transfer window, has been adapting well to life at The Emirates.
And Arsenal legend Henry was particularly impressed by Lacazette’s performance in the north London derby on Saturday.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Henry said: I liked how Lacazette played today.
“He had an unselfish way of playing, not only on the ball but off the ball.”
Lacazette will be expecting to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action next weekend with a trip to Turf Moor to take on Burnley.
The Gunners are currently 12 points behind leaders Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title as they look to try and close the gap to Pep Guardiola’s men.
Arsenal finished fifth in the top flight last season under Wenger as they missed out on qualification for this term’s Champions League.
