Jamie Redknapp is tipping Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur to share the spoils in Saturday’s north London derby at The Emirates.
The Gunners will host their bitter rivals for the first time in 2017-18 with three points imperative to keep their fading top-four hopes alive.
Indeed, Arsenal’s 3-1 loss to Premier League leaders Manchester City last time out has left Arsene Wenger’s side in sixth place and three points behind Chelsea in the final Champions League qualification spot.
Tottenham are in third place but level on points with Manchester United following a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace in their last Premier League outing.
Spurs were 2-0 winners against Arsenal in their North London Derby at White Hart Lane thanks to goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane.
However, Tottenham have drawn their last two Premier League Games at The Emirates, including a 1-1 stalemate last term when Harry Kane cancelled out Kevin Wimmer’s own goal.
Former Spurs midfielder Redknapp is backing Arsenal and Tottenham to play out a stalemate at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
“With Tottenham likely to welcome back Harry Kane, Harry Winks and Dele Alli from injury – plus possibly Hugo Lloris – Arsenal will certainly need to fire,” Redknapp told Sky Sports. “But I can see this one being a draw.”
Redknapp added: “Tottenham are far better and more comfortable with the three-at-the-back system than Arsenal and are the form team with a threat on the counter-attack, too. But I’ve played in enough of these games to know they are almost always tight affairs.”
Arsenal have won all five of their Premier League games at The Emirates this season but have lost four times in the road.
Tottenham finished in second place and 11 points ahead of Arsenal last term.
