Jose Mourinho: What I really think about Chelsea this season

Jose Mourinho has insisted that he is full of respect for Chelsea and that he considers the Blues as one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season.

The Portuguese coach is currently preparing his Manchester United side for their crunch clash against the Blues at Stamford Bridge as the Red Devils look to underline their status as one of the Main Contenders for the Premier League title this season.

Chelsea are the defending Premier League champions but have made a mixed start to the new campaign, with Antonio Conte’s men currently nine points off top spot after 10 games of the new season.

Manchester United, meanwhile, look as if they will be one of the main contenders for the title after having left themselves just five points behind leaders Manchester City after 10 games.

Mourinho led Chelsea to the title in the 2014-15 campaign before he was sacked in December 2015. He was then appointed as Manchester United manager last May.

And the Portuguese coach has warned his Manchester United side that Chelsea will be one of the main contenders for the title this season.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Sunday’s game, Mourinho said: “Chelsea are the champions and one of the top teams in the country and I consider them and they consider themselves too, a big contender for the title.”

Chelsea won the title in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge last term.
