Alexandre Lacazette took to social media to thank Mesut Ozil for his assist during Arsenal’s thumping 5-2 victory over Everton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Lacazette scored his first away goal for the Gunners in the second half as Arsene Wenger’s men ran riot to return to winning ways in the top flight.
Ozil was back to his imperious best against the Toffees as he also scored for the Gunners on Merseyside.
Lacazette has made a strong start to his Arsenal career since arriving at the club from Lyon in the summer transfer window.
He has now netted five goals in the top flight for Wenger’s side and looks as if he is adapting well to the rigours of the Premier League.
And the French striker had a message for his new team-mate after the game on Sunday.
Lacazette posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “1st Away Win, 1st Goal , Thanks @m10_official !!! #arsenal #Laca9 #coyg”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action next weekend with a home clash against Swansea City.
The north London side are currently nine points behind leaders Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title as they look to get their season back on track.
