Liverpool have made a fantastic signing in tying up a deal for Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, according to David Pleat.
The Reds announced a deal to sign the Guinea international from the German side last week, with the midfielder set to officially join the Merseyside club next summer after the 2017-18 campaign at RB Leipzig.
Keita was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool throughout the summer and the Reds were finally able to agree a deal for the 22-year-old towards the end of the transfer window.
Liverpool fans will have to wait until next season for their first taste of Keita in a Reds shirt, but former Tottenham manager Pleat believes that the midfielder will end up as being a very good Signing for the Merseyside outfit.
Pleat told BBC Sport: “Liverpool have made a fantastic signing in Naby Keita from RB Leipzig. They’ll just have to wait 12 months to enjoy him.”
Liverpool completed the signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal on transfer deadline day as they wrapped up their fourth signing of the summer.
The Reds also brought in Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Dominic Solanke as Jurgen Klopp bolstered his squad ahead of his side’s return to the Champions League group stage this month.
Liverpool take on Manchester City in their next Premier League game at The Etihad after the international break.
