Antonio Conte has the full backing of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to sell Diego Costa this summer, according to report in the Spanish media.
Marca, as quoted by Sport Witness, is reporting that the Russian oligarch is supporting the Chelsea manager’s decision to offload the 28-year-old striker this summer despite Costa’s contribution to their Premier League title success last term.
The same article states that Conte has taken a break from his summer holiday to hold discussions with Abramovich about the Costa situation and has received the owner’s blessing to sell the Spain international.
Costa was heavily linked with a move to the Chinese Super League in January, but the striker remained at Stamford Bridge despite a reported fallout with Conte about the transfer speculation.

The Chelsea manager dropped the striker for one game before the pair resolved their differences and Costa was restored to the first team.
The former Atletico Madrid striker has won two Premier League titles in three seasons at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea won the Premier League under Conte last season but came up short in the FA Cup after they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal in the final.
