Chelsea have had a £52m bid to sign Alex Sandro rejected by Juventus, according to reports in Italy.
Tuttosport, as quoted by the Daily Mail, is reporting that the Blues have failed in their first attempt to try and sign the Brazilian from the Italian club this summer.
The same story claims that Juventus are “desperate” to keep the left-back in Turin beyond the summer Transfer window.
The article also reports that Juve are under “no pressure” to sell the defender – because his current contract is not due to expire until the summer of 2020.
Sandro scored three goals and made seven assists for the Serie A side last season.
Chelsea are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Antonio Conte prepares for his second season in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Despite all of the speculation, however, the Blues are yet to tie up any official new deals.
