Antoine Griezmann has put pen to paper on a new five-year contract with Atletico Madrid, according to Hector Fernandez.
The France international’s future has been a constant source of speculation over the past couple of months amid reported interest from Manchester United.
The 25-year-old was thought to be on the brink of a move to Manchester United this summer after the striker talked up his chances of a switch to Old Trafford.
However, Atletico’s transfer ban signalled the end of Griezmann potentially moving to the Red Devils in the 2017 summer transfer window.
And Griezmann has reportedly signed a new contract with los Rojiblancos, which will secure the striker’s future at Atletico until 2022.
Onda Cero reporter Fernandez took to his Twitter page to claim that Griezmann had committed his future to Atletico.
Fernandez wrote: “Antoine Griezmann renewed until 2022 with the @Atleti and makes it to try to win titles.”
Griezmann has scored 16 goals in 36 appearances in La Liga in the 2016-17 campaign.
Manchester United secured their place in the Champions League next term thanks to a 2-0 win against Ajax.
