Kasper Schmeichel is set to follow in his father’s footsteps by joining Manchester United, according to Ladbrokes.
The Leicester City stopper is even-money to make Old Trafford his new home, though the Red Devils could face a transfer battle from Man City (3/1) and Liverpool (7/1).
Meanwhile, there’s an outside chance that he’ll head for the capital, with Arsenal (8/1) and Tottenham (10s) also in the running for the Dane’s signature.
Ladbrokes News’ Dave Burin said: “18 years after his Dad bowed out as a United legend, Kasper is on course to bring a famous name back to the Theatre of Dreams.”
Schmeichel was part of the Leicester side that won the Premier League title in 2015-16.
The Denmark international was powerless to prevent the Foxes from losing 3-2 on aggregate to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last eight.
