Harry Kane sends message to Man United ahead of Chelsea clash

Harry Kane is hoping that Manchester United can do Tottenham Hotspur a favour when Jose Mourinho side take on Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Lilywhites were 4-0 winners against Bournemouth at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon thanks to goals from Kane, Son Heung-min, Mousa Dembele and Vincent Janssen.

Tottenham moved to within four points of current leaders Chelsea thanks to their landslide win against Eddie Howe’s men in north London.

Chelsea can restore their seven-point advantage with victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Blues have already beaten Manchester United twice this season after a 4-0 league win at Stamford Bridge before a 1-0 victory in the FA Cup quarter-final last month.

And Kane, who scored his 20th Premier League goal of the 2016-17 season on Saturday afternoon, is hoping Manchester United can spring an upset against Chelsea.

“Sometimes it is good to play first and get the three points before enjoying the Easter weekend,” Kane told Sky Sports.

“We can see what happens tomorrow. Hopefully Manchester United can get a result for us.”

He added: “It is a big game. A lot of us will be watching because we enjoy watching football anyway.

“Hopefully something can happen and it will go in our favour.”
