Jermaine Jenas singled out Harry Kane for special praise as Tottenham closed the gap on Chelsea down to four points with a convincing 4-0 win over Bournemouth at White Hart Lane on Saturday lunchtime.
Tottenham took the lead in the 16th minute in north London when Mousa Dembele fired home from close range after finding himself in space from a corner.
And Spurs soon doubled their lead in front of their home fans, when Son Heung-Min netted again for the Lilywhites just three minutes later.
Harry Kane then added a third shortly after the break as Tottenham continued to keep the pressure on Chelsea in the title race.
Striker Vincent Janssen then netted a fourth in stoppage time to add further gloss to the scoreline.
And former Spurs midfielder Jenas was particularly impressed by Kane’s play in the first half of Saturday’s clash.
Jenas tweeted: “Some of Harry Kane’s first touches/hold up play in this first half has been unbelievable, part of the reason why a lot would choose him over RL.”
