David Luiz has revealed that a feeling of “unfinished business” was one of the main reasons why he chose to return to Chelsea last summer.
The Brazilian defender was a surprise signing late in the summer transfer window last year, two years after he left Stamford Bridge to join Paris Saint-Germain.
Luis has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea team under Antonio Conte this season and has played a key role in helping the Blues build a 10-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
And Luiz has lifted the lid on how he felt it was the right time to return to Stamford Bridge last summer.
Luiz is quoted as saying by The Daily Star: “I enjoy it a lot, I feel at home here. I was missing it a lot.
“Sometimes you cannot choose everything, sometimes cycles end, sometimes they start again.
“I am happy to be here. I am working hard, because I have some business to finish.
“I hope so [to win the league], we need to work hard. I want to have this feeling.”

The defender will be expecting to feature for Chelsea when the Blues return to Premier League action with a crunch clash against Stoke City on Saturday.
The west London side were 1-0 winners over Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Monday night.
