Adnan Januzaj has sent a birthday message to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba on the world-record signing’s birthday.

The France international endured a tough start to the week after Pogba was criticised for a disappointing performance in a 1-0 loss to Premier League leaders Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-final at Stamford Bridge.

Pogba moved to Manchester United in a world-record deal in last summer’s transfer window after newly-appointed manager Jose Mourinho recruited the versatile midfielder from Serie A champions.

The Belgian forward trained alongside Pogba for less than a week before the promising forward was sent out on a season-long loan to Premier League strugglers Sunderland.

However, Januzaj appears to consider Pogba a close friend after the on-loan Sunderland forward posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption which appeared to be an inside joke:

“Happy birthday to my pick, who picks up a piochance, piochable #lafamillecommejaja”

Pogba has scored four goals and has made three assists in 25 appearances in the Premier League this season.

Manchester United will host Russian side FC Rostov in the Europa League on Thursday night.
