David De Gea has thanked Manchester United fans for their support after the 10-man Red Devils were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Monday night.
Manchester United were reduced to 10 men in the first half at Stamford Bridge when Ander Herrera was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Eden Hazard.
N’Golo Kante then scored the only goal of the game early in the second half when his low strike into the bottom-left corner beat De Gea in the Manchester United goal.
Manchester United do not have long to dust themselves down after the defeat as they prepare for their Europa League clash against FC Rostov on Thursday night.
And Spanish goalkeeper De Gea used his personal Instagram account to send a message to Manchester United’s fans after Monday night’s defeat.
He shared the photo above on the app and wrote the caption: “Thanks for always being there #GGMU”
