Antonio Conte reacts to Chelsea v Tottenham FA Cup semi-final draw

Antonio Conte has warned his Chelsea players that they are in for a stern test of their FA Cup credentials after they were pitted against Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-finals.

Conte watched his side book their place in the last four of the competition on Monday night as N’Golo Kante fired the Blues to a 1-0 victory over 10-man Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will now take on Tottenham at Wembley for a place in the FA Cup final, with Manchester City tackling Arsenal in the other semi-final clash.

And Conte has warned his players that they are in for a stern test of their FA Cup hopes when they take on Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the last four.

Speaking at his post-match news conference, Conte said: “It’s another tough game against a strong team.

“It’s one win for us and one win for them [so far this season], for sure it will be an exciting game for the people and our fans.

“In this phase, Tottenham, Arsenal or Man City, the level is very high. We have to accept this. They’ve shown they are able to beat us but we’ve shown we are able to beat them, now we’ll see what the result is in the semi-final.

“Now we have to rest tomorrow and think about the league. Stoke are playing very well, they are a strong team.”
