Antonio Conte hailed N’Golo Kante’s tireless performance in Chelsea’s 2-1 win at West Ham United on Monday night.

Kante has been ever present in the Chelsea side this term and the defensive midfielder started alongside Cesc Fabregas at the London Stadium as the Chelsea boss stuck with the same line-up that eased to a 3-1 win against Swansea City last time out.

And the France international was a key figure once again for the Blues as the defensive midfielder played a key part in the west London side’s opening goal to set the Premier League leaders well on their way to another victory.

Kante intercepted a loose West Ham pass before he set Eden Hazard free on the wing, with the Belgian slotting a finish past the Hammers goalkeeper after he combined with Pedro Rodriguez.

Speaking to the media after Chelsea moved 10 points clear of their closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the title race, Conte singled out Kante for special praise after his influential performance in the heart of the Italian’s side.

“N’Golo Kante has great stamina. He covered a lot of the ground. He’s improving a lot,” Conte said.
