Adnan Januzaj has revealed that Paul Pogba wants to play alongside him for Manchester United next season.
Januzaj is currently on loan to Sunderland from the Red Devils after being deemed to be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford by Jose Mourinho.
The Belgian winger has made 14 Premier League appearances for David Moyes’ men this season as he looks to impress during his temporary spell with the Black Cats.
Pogba and Januzaj know each other well from their time coming through the youth teams at Manchester United.
And Januzaj has revealed that he hopes to line up against the France international at Old Trafford for Mourinho’s men next season.
Speaking in an interview with The Sun, Januzaj said: “Paul is a great player. He made a different choice but eventually he was successful and he has returned. He remains a great player.
“He’s a very good friend. At United, we were always together. We went to dinner together, played the PlayStation. He was a brother to me.
“Of course, Paul asks if I’ll be back at Manchester United. He wants to play with me. But I am now at Sunderland and I have to do what’s right for the club.
“These are decisions from above. I’m a professional footballer and I have to remain professional and work.”
