Ian Wright has urged Arsenal to resolve Alexis Sanchez’s future at The Emirates to stop continuing negativity surrounding Arsene Wenger’s squad.
Arsenal were 4-0 winners against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium last weekend thanks to two own goals as well as efforts from Olivier Giroud and Sanchez.
However, the former Barcelona man provided a talking point despite their comfortable win after the Chile international’s frustrated reaction to being taken off with 12 minutes to play.
Arsenal have been in contract negotiations with the 28-year-old forward in recent months but have failed to reach an agreement with the £35m man.
Sanchez has been in excellent goal-scoring form this season after a return of 14 goals in 21 games in the 2016-17 Premier League campaign.
Former Arsenal Striker Wright offered the Gunners some advice over the Sanchez situation.
“I know everyone was focused on Alexis Sanchez. The sooner he can get his contract and his head sorted the better for everyone. Even when Arsenal are winning now, there is a negativity about it,” Wright told The Sun Goals podcast.
“He isn’t happy. If you’re coming off the pitch and putting a coat over your head when you win, it does make me worry.”
Sanchez moved to Arsenal in a £35m deal from La Liga giants Barcelona in the 2014 January transfer window.
