Paul Merson is tipping Liverpool to ease to a 3-0 win against Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Merseyside outfit will be hoping to return to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend after successive stalemates with Sunderland and Manchester United over the past couple of weeks.
Liverpool were 2-1 winners against the Swans at the Liberty Stadium earlier this season after the club’s vice-captain James Milner scored a late penalty.
Swansea, meanwhile, lost 4-0 to Liverpool’s title rivals Arsenal in South Wales last weekend to leave Paul Clement’s side in 20th place in the Premier League Table.
The Welsh outfit have only managed to win one game in their six Premier League outings and have lost seven of their 10 fixtures on the road this season.
Former Arsenal midfielder Merson can’t see past a comfortable Liverpool win against Swansea in Saturday’s early kick-off in the Premier League.
“It’s a big weekend. If you look at a few of the top teams you’d like to say they’ve got easy games and they cannot afford to slip up. This is one of them,” Merson told Sky Sports.
“The only thing that can beat Liverpool here is complacency. We’ve just seen what Arsenal did to Swansea, who despite losing 4-0 did okay. I just can’t see anything other than a very comfortable home win.”
Liverpool are in third place in the Premier League table and seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
