Danny Rose has established himself as one of the best left-backs in Europe thanks to his impressive Tottenham Hotspur performances, according to Ian Wright.
The England international was widely praised for his dominant performance in Tottenham’s 4-0 win against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
Rose has scored two goals and has made two assists in 16 appearances in the Premier League in the 2016-17 season so far.
The former Sunderland defender has become an integral part of Mauricio Pochettino’s defence over the past 18 months or so.
Alongside England right-back Kyle Walker, Rose has thrived in the Spurs team since Pochettino’s switch to a 3-4-3 formation.
Speaking to BBC Sport’s 606 podcast after another entertaining weekend of Premier League action, former Arsenal striker Wright singled out Rose for special praise.
“I rate Kyle Walker and I rate Danny Rose. I think Danny Rose is one of the best left-backs in Europe,” Wright told BBC Sport’s 606 podcast.
“He is getting better with more confidence. The way Tottenham plays suits him down to the ground.”
Tottenham are in second place in the table and seven points behind leaders Chelsea ahead of their trip to Manchester City on Saturday evening.
