David Pastrnak fell and injured his thumb following a sponsorship dinner, which he attended with his teammates, on Sunday night. He was not on the ice for Tuesday’s morning skate. The Bruins will re-evaluate him in a couple of weeks, but expect him to return before the end of the regular season.
Pastrnak leads the Bruins in scoring with 66 points in 56 games this season, (31 G 35 A). This is a huge loss for a squad that relies on the best line in hockey, for the bulk of the team production.
