According to Jalen Rose, Kawhi Leonard wants out of San Antonio Spurs.

But what could be the reason for this? The former 2011, 15th pick overall has been sidelined for most of the season and according to rumors, this may be one of the reasons why he wants out of one of the most successful franchises in the NBA.

Months of discord regarding the treatment and timetable of the return of two-time first-team All-NBA and two-time NBA defensive player has been allegedly the root cause of the issue as Leonard and his team has been distant from the Spurs organization. The Spurs for a long time has been an organization that is loved by their franchise players and the situation with Kawhi maybe changing that perspective.

Aside from injury issue, Kawhi maybe unsatisfied with the current supporting roles of the Spurs and may also be wanting a superstar teammate to help him get the championship like what the rest of the league is doing.

Leonard is only 26 years old and is currently in the prime of his playing career and while most would think that Kawhi would want to spend his career in San Antonio, formidable sources including NBA analyst and former player Jalen Rose believe that Kawhi could be on the move.

There were rumors of the trade talks to Lakers that could send Brandon Ingram to the Spurs earlier this year but that died down after the deadline. It does not mean, however, that the issue of Leonard wanting out has been resolved.

The upcoming free agency has been one of the most anticipated offseason mainly because of LeBron James and as we all know, the Lakers have been public about wanting to sign the King and luring him to play for the Lakers. The move of LeBron James could be the pivot for all other free agents and teams and it would certainly have a domino effect in the league.
