
What an exciting Thursday night of action, August 31 at the Resorts World Manila! Impressive ground skills and a hard-hitting match!Jomar Manlangit took the top spot in the main event against Julbirth Tubiano for the bout at flyweight. Tubiano was able to get the mount in the first round and landed punches but couldn't get the finish. Manlangit wasted no time in grappling area come second round, taking his opponent to the ground and going for the ground and pound. Tubiano defended it and tried to go back up, but Manlangit took his head locking him in the triangle choke. Manlangit improved to 6-1 with a second round finish.
In the co-main event, John Lloyd Libuit scored several takedowns and tried guillotine attempts to finish. Adonis Sevillano reversed and landed punches until the referee stopped the action in round two.
Marjon Oranda dominated the ground game and was controlling the fight all three rounds. Jason Vergara has his back in the late round and almost sunk in a choke. Oransa absorbed punches. But the time expired to end the fight. Oranda was able to take out a split decision and score a win.
The grappler won over the striker as Paolo Reyes got the unanimous decision over Reynato Renacia putting 1 loss in its perfect 2 win record. Renacia came into the fight to strike, but Reyes controlled the fight everytime they went to the mat.
